Hulu Approves Three-Part Documentary Series on 50 Cent

Hulu has officially approved a three-episode documentary series centered on rapper 50 Cent, following a playful April Fool's Day social media post where he claimed the streaming service invested $75 million in the project.

This "definitive" documentary will trace Curtis Jackson's path from the streets of Queens, through his survival of nine gunshot wounds, to his rise as a worldwide cultural phenomenon who has sold over 30 million records.

The untitled series will be directed by Mandon Lovett, recognized for For Khadija: The French Montana Story, and will delve into Jackson's development across the realms of music, entrepreneurship, and film.

Jackson initially gained fame with his 2003 album Get Rich or Die Tryin', which included the hit track "In Da Club." He later broadened his career into television with Starz's Power franchise and took on a producing role for Netflix's Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

This documentary will become part of Hulu's expanding collection of music documentaries, which recently featured projects on Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen.
