Kansas Students Make Unique Prom Entrance Aboard Oscar Mayer Wienermobile

TOPEKA, KS - On April 19th, Seaman High School junior Breckan Andrews and his friends made a memorable prom arrival by traveling in the iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.

The idea originated when the students noticed the hot dog-shaped vehicle parked outside a Dillons grocery store in Topeka while they were visiting a Sonic restaurant. Andrews approached the driver, Maggie Dawson, who is known as a "Hot Dogger," to inquire if they could use the Wienermobile for their prom ride. "One of my friends asked, 'Can we rent this thing?' and I responded, 'What if we just ask about prom?" Andrews explained. After checking her availability, Dawson readily agreed.

The Oscar Mayer team generously offered complimentary transportation to the event.

"People usually take limousines," remarked student Cooper Lietz. "This is basically a giant hot dog limo."
