Ruby Rose Alleges Sexual Assault by Katy Perry at Nightclub; Perry's Representatives Deny Allegations

Published April 15, 2026

Ruby Rose has come forward with accusations of sexual assault against Katy Perry. The 40-year-old actor, known for her role in Orange Is the New Black, shared the claim on social media, stating the event took place when she was in her early twenties. Rose mentioned that she had previously mentioned the incident publicly but had described it as a "funny drunk story" because she was unsure how to process it at the time.

"[Perry] saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend’s lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her," Rose wrote.

In response, Perry’s representatives issued a strong denial, labeling the accusations as "categorically false" and "dangerous reckless lies."

Rose explained that it took nearly twenty years before she could speak candidly about the incident. She added that she is "not interested in filing a report" but does have "photos" and witnesses from the public occurrence.
