Netflix is introducing viewers to a new version of the Ingalls family!

On Monday, April 13, the streaming platform revealed the initial teaser trailer for the forthcoming Little House on the Prairie reboot, inspired by Laura Ingalls Wilder’s cherished book series.

“Once upon a time, Ma and Pa and Mary and Laura left the big woods of Wisconsin and moved to the prairie,” a young Laura narrates at the start of the teaser. “Their new life was waiting for them.”

The official synopsis reads: “Part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West, this fresh adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic semi-autobiographical Little House books offers a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier.”

Little House on the Prairie is set to premiere on Netflix on July 9.
