SURVEY: Majority of Americans Experience AI Fatigue Despite Its Pervasive Use

A recent survey reveals that over half of Americans are feeling fatigued by artificial intelligence, with 54% expressing that they are "getting tired of hearing" about it.

The study, which included 2,000 adults across the United States, found that 46% perceive AI as omnipresent and nearly unavoidable, while 29% feel that AI is being aggressively promoted to them through social media platforms or their workplaces. Despite this sense of weariness, 69% of respondents still engage with AI in some capacity, with 16% utilizing it on a daily basis and 21% using it weekly.

When asked about their attitudes toward AI, 40% held a positive view, 30% viewed it negatively, and another 30% remained neutral.

Almost half of the participants believe that AI has only partially fulfilled the promises made about its capabilities, whereas 30% feel that AI completely meets expectations.

Experts recommend that individuals use the time saved by AI for rest and relaxation instead of additional work to help alleviate feelings of burnout.
