No Doubt Guitarist Tom Dumont Discloses Early Onset Parkinson's Diagnosis

Tom Dumont, the guitarist for No Doubt, revealed on Saturday that he has been diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's disease, just weeks before the band’s residency at the Las Vegas Sphere begins on May 6th.

In a video posted on social media, Dumont shared that he had been noticing symptoms for several years and underwent thorough evaluations with doctors and neurologists prior to receiving his diagnosis. "It's been a challenge, it's a challenge every day," said the guitarist who has been with No Doubt since 1988.

Despite his diagnosis, Dumont assured fans that he will still be performing at the upcoming concerts. "The positive aspect is that I am still able to play music, I am still able to play guitar. I've been doing really well," he stated.

Dumont expressed hope that by sharing his experience, he can help reduce the stigma associated with Parkinson's and promote greater awareness about prevention and research.

His bandmates have shown their support, with drummer Adrian Young referring to him as "my hero" and bassist Tony Kanal conveying love "beyond words."
